Forest Hall Young Peoples Club (incorporating Junior and Senior Football teams) are based at Palmersville Community Centre, Palm Court, Forest Hall (commonly known as Proctors Field). The club was established in 1996 by former Chairman, Mr Bob Lofthouse, who is now the Hon. President of the club. The club was started off with a single team at this time, but has in the preceding years grown to no fewer than 21 teams which operated in the 2008/09 season under the Forest Hall banner. We have become one of the largest clubs in North Tyneside.
We are an FA Community Football Club. This status was awarded to us by the Football Association in June 2008, following on from our previously awarded Development Club Status back in 2005. Being a Charter Standard Club demonstrates that best practice and advice provided by the Football Association is being followed at all times thus:
1. Coaching: At least one coach for each age group is qualified to FA level 1. Coaching procedures and best practice is used throughout the club.
2. Child Protection best practice is followed.
3. At least one coach from each age group is Emergency Aid qualified.
4. All managers, coaches and helpers involved with players are Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked.
The club is committed to the provision of a safe environment for players at all times.
The Forest Hall constitution embraces comprehensive codes of conduct for managers, coaches, players and parents, with the aim of improving the sportsmanship and behaviour of everyone associated with the club. We also have a Development plan which describes the future aims and plans for the club over the next 5 years. Included in this plan is our planned involvement with the local community including assistance with disabled football as well as developing new teams on an annual basis.
Forest Hall YPC also have 3 senior teams including a Ladies team to provide exit routes for our junior club members who wish to progress into senior football.
